Set yourself up to stay at one of the best recreational places in Alabama! Lake Martin offers a place for you to enjoy a day of picnics, camping, kayaking or other boating, and lakeside fun! There are grills, RV sites with water and electric hookups, rentable cabins and boats, and a fishing pier. Only military personnel are permitted to stay, including Active duty, Retired, Reservists, DoD, Retired DoD and DoD Contractors. Lake Martin only accepts credit cards as payment.

- Boats must be reserved no more than seven days in advance.
- All boats must stay in a five mile radius.
- No pets allowed on boats.
- Must be 21 & older to rent a Sea-Doo
- Max 10 people per boat.
- All boaters must have an Alabama Boaters License OR a license issued from another state. If another state's Boaters License is utilized, the patron must not operate a vessel more than 45 days each calendar year.
- Anyone not conforming to water safety practices will be required to leave the area immediately.
Length of Stay Policy (LOS)
Lake Martin Recreation Area, operated by Maxwell Air Force Base Installation Commander or their representative, is solely for use and occupation by active and retired military personnel, DoD Civilians, and their families. Overnight Camp Site/Recreation Lodging use shall be limited to a total of thirty (30) days per occupant between the months of April 1 and September 30, and also limited to a total of thirty (30) days per occupant between the months of October 1 and March 31; per our land lease with Alabama Power. During the months of April 1 and September 30, RV spots 21, 33, 34, 36, & 62 will be limited to 14 days per reservation, not to exceed thirty (30) days. Homesteading by patrons, will not be tolerated as it is a direct violation of our lease agreement. Individuals who are found in violation of this policy will be removed from the recreation grounds immediately.
